The Crucified King: Studies in the Gospel of Mark

Any time you start a job, one of the most helpful things to have is a mentor… someone who has already been down the road you are starting, who can help orient you to the brand new way of life that you are embarking on. Jesus equipped his disciples by sharing his life with them. He taught them, challenged them, and brought them along as he interacted with the world around them on the way to the cross. Mark is a fast-paced, blunt, and straight to the point gospel, which offers us a chance to journey with Jesus through his life, ministry, death, and resurrection. As we listen to the words recorded, we are presented with King Jesus, claiming His right to rule over us and calling us to give up everything to come and follow him.
