Children's Ministry

Nursery

During worship and Sunday school, we have well-staffed nurseries for children age 3 and under, to ensure a safe and friendly environment for these little ones.

Kid’s Connection

On Sunday mornings at 9:00am, we provide separate Bible classes for all age groups from 15 months to 5th grade. Our teachers present material designed to communicate the truths of the Bible in a fun and age-appropriate way.

Covenant Kids

Starts Sunday, September 19th, at MPC

On Sunday evenings during the school year, from 6:00-7:30pm, we offer a special program for children age 4 through the 5th grade.

Bible Skills, Drills, & Thrills uses a fun format to teach children in Grades 2–5 Bible skills. Games, crafts, recreation, service projects, drama, music, computer games—these activities and more will help children learn the books of the Bible, the divisions of the Bible, 10 Key Passages, Bible verses, Bible stories, and Bible history. Children will also learn to find verses in their Bibles.

Participants ages 4 years-1st grade will explore “Beginning Kid’s Quest”, which is a fun-packed catechism program with music, games, art, and lots of repetition designed especially for learning at their age level.  They will learn Children’s catechism questions and answers, which will help them understand foundational Biblical truths on their level of comprehension.

Christian Community Action - Third Wednesday

On the third Wednesday of each month, MPC has agreed to staff the Food Pantry at CCA (200 South Mill Street in Lewisville). We need 10-12 people to stock shelves, serve as cashiers and help the customers by bagging their groceries and loading their cars. We meet at 5:45pm to help set up. Store hours are 6:00-8:00pm. Kids are welcome to come and help, as long as one parent is supervising them. CCA Needs Volunteers For Thanksgiving & Christmas

I know it's hot outside right now with a typical Texas summer in full swing, but at Christian Community Action (CCA) we're already thinking ahead toward Christmas. Every year, CCA holds Thanksgiving and Christmas seasonal programs that serve the neediest children and families in our local community. But in order to serve these clients, we need your help!

For Thanksgiving and Christmas programs, we have over 2,200 shifts available to volunteers ages 10 and up. Volunteer Shift Availability

Once you find a shift you are interested in, please take the following steps:

1. Check the notes at the top of the Volunteer Shift Availability sheet ensure that all of the volunteers in your group will meet the minimum age requirement

2. Email Charlotte Alexander, Manager of Volunteer Relations, to ensure the shifts you are interested in are still available as many shifts fill quickly

3. Once you receive confirmation from Charlotte, write down the shifts you've been assigned on your calendar. CCA will send you a reminder three days prior to your service, but we want to ensure that you don't double book yourself on the day you are scheduled to serve.

4. Get ready to be a part of something great --- helping to make a child's holiday season a whole lot brighter with the simple gift of a few hours of your time!

Thank you, as always, for being a part of the CCA family. We couldn't do this without you!

Small Group Ministry

A Small Group Is Like A Passenger Van.

You know each person in the Small Group because you are close to everyone. Like a van, a Small Group can change direction quickly to meet the needs of those it is carrying. A Small Group starts and stops for breaks depending on the needs of the passengers. A van can’t go long without refueling, and a Small Group encourages spiritual growth, refueling our souls through Bible study and prayer for each other.

We encourage you to find a seat aboard a Small Group this fall and watch your spiritual life and relationships with other Christians move forward. Most of our Small Groups will start the week of August 29th. Our Small Groups range in size from mini-vans to 15-seat models. If you are interested in checking out a Small Group, contact the church office and we’ll put you in touch with one of the Small Group leaders in your area.
