Christian Community Action
On the third Wednesday of each month, MPC has agreed to staff the Food Pantry at CCA (200 South Mill Street in Lewisville). We need 10-12 people to stock shelves, serve as cashiers and help the customers by bagging their groceries and loading their cars. We meet at 5:45pm to help set up. Store hours are 6:00-8:00pm. See the CalendarofEvents for the next one! Kids are welcome to come and help, as long as one parent is supervising them.

Ladies' Night Out…
Monday, September 8, 7 p.m.—Ladies' Tea Social at MPC
Ladies, do you know Afternoon Tea was invented by the Duchess of Bedford in the mid-1800s to tide herself over for a very late dinner? If you do, you may well have attended MPC's previous Afternoon Tea with Judith Dyer. Judith will once again be joining us for Tea, this time highlighting 4,500 years of "Lovely Ladies, Willful Women and Darling Damsels." Please join us Monday, September 8th at 7 in the evening for this wonderful treat. Registration will be at the table in the Lobby August 17th, 24th and 31st with a cost of $5.00, if you please. We will be closing registration as of Monday, September 1st so that the most exquisite and perfect preparations can be made for your (and your guests') delight. Be sure to come--we can't have a tea party without you! Kerry Buswell may be contacted with any questions, comments, etc. (call the church office for her phone number).
